Update on State Questions 780 & 781 For Criminal Justice reform

May 13, 2016 |

Since I last wrote to you, thousands more Oklahomans have pledged their support to get State Questions 780 & 781 on the ballot this November!

Oklahomans all across the state from Guthrie to Muskogee to Chickasha have added their names. We’re really close to getting the signatures we need to get criminal justice reform on the ballot, but need your to help get this across the finish line.

Forward this email to 5 friends and ask them to commit to sign the petition today.

Here’s what you need to tell them:

7 out of 10 Oklahomans know someone who has been sent to jail, prison, or another type of correctional facility.
Oklahoma spends $500 million of taxpayer money on prisons every single year.
We can better use that money by investing in drug and mental health treatment, and job training programs that address the root causes of crime and make communities safer.

State Questions 780 & 781 will help make our families healthier and our communities stronger. So, let’s get these questions on the ballot so Oklahomans can vote for a smarter criminal justice system in this fall’s election.

Tell your friends about our petition for smarter justice and stronger, safer communities in Oklahoma.

Thanks for everything you do,

Doug
