As we look towards transforming the Virginia justice system we know from our trips to Richmond that legislators are concerned with the bottom line.  This report puts a fiscal lens to sentencing, something VA should do in regards to the “no parole” and other wasteful state policies.

This report is prepared under a partnership project of NCSL’s Criminal Justice Program in Denver, Colorado and the Public Safety Performance Project of the Pew Center on the States, based in Washington, D.C.
