AoRP will be sponsoring the Second Chance Networking Meeting on Thursday, September 11th at 1PM.

The Association of Reentry Professionals, based here in Oklahoma, will be hosting a meeting for those working in or interested in reentry. Join OK CURE and representatives from more than a dozen other state entities and organizations to talk about reentry and how to best help those returning to our communities.

AoRP will be sponsoring the Second Chance Networking Meeting on Thursday, September 11th at 1PM.

These meetings provide an opportunity for reentry practitioners, and those who wish to learn more about it can network with each other, increase awareness about the reentry of those people returning from prisons, and the program and services available in our communties.

Our guest speaker will be Joyce Jackson who is with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.  Joyce is Administrator of Executive Communications and will be presenting information about their Leadership Academy.  The Leadership Academy is highly recommended for those that want to learn more about all aspects of DOC and corrections in general.

Reentry practitioners from organizations such as FCI El Reno,OK DRS, Public Strategies, OK CareerTech, OK DOC, Urban League, OK DHS, Genesis One, Dale Rogers Training Center, OSU/OKC, ORO Development, Pottawatami Tribe, Exodus House, CJAMM, COWIB, Rose State, Shawnee District Attorneys Office, CareerTech, and OESC have been attending.

Please feel free to invite anyone interested in offender reentry to attend this meeting.

In order to help you better manage your calendar, The Second Chance Network meetings will be held monthly on the second Thursday of each month at Redemption Church of Oklahoma City, 1320 N. Pennsylvania Ave.,Oklahoma City, OK 73107, from 1 – 3:30 PM.
