update on commutation changes

Aug 25, 2015 | by Lynn Powell

I talked to the Pardon & Parole Board’s General Council. This is going to take time to get everything approved. More than likely there will be a new Commutation form. She also indicated the press didn’t give the full story. More than likely we are looking at the first of the year before things get all line up.
Some of you may remember when the last parole board got in trouble for granting commutations and it took them almost a year to start looking at commutations again. Also there were bills introduced to stop the pardon & parole board from granting any Commutations. Thank goodness they didn’t go anywhere. We all need to take a breath and relax a little bit this could be a long ride.
